Instructions to make Dahi Vada:
  1. Soak urad dal only for one hour. After one hour drain water completely.
  2. Add soaked urad dal, pepper and salt to the mixer jar. Grind it to a smooth paste by adding little by little water.
  3. Grind it so that we can make a round shape. Make hands wet and then touch the batter, so that batter won't be sticky.
  4. Now heat kadai. Add needed oil. Once heated add the round shaped batter.
  5. Fry until vada becomes golden brown on both sides and take out once bubbles went off.
  6. Now let's prepare dahi for vada. Churn the dahi with churner/twister.
  7. Soak cashews for 1/2 hour in water.
  8. Grind the soaked cashews, coconut and green chillies to a fine paste by adding water.
  9. Now add the grinded paste to dahi and add needed salt.
  10. Dip the vadas to water and add it to prepared dahi.
  11. Finally add the tempering to the dahi vada. Garnish with boondi or fried cashews or fried peanuts. Serve this yummy vada recipe and enjoy this recipe.
