The ingredients needed to prepare Gud Amba:
- Take 3-4 raw mango (kairi)
- You need 1/2 cup jaggery
- Use 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- Prepare 1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds
- Use 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
- Prepare 1/3 tsp sauf
- Get 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Use 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Provide As per taste Salt
- Take As required Oil
- Provide 1 tsp curry leaves
- You need 1 chopped onion
- Provide 1 tsp crushed ginger garlic
Steps to make Gud Amba:
- First clean and wash raw mangoes. Then peel it and cut it into medium pieces. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds let it crackle now add sauf and curry leaves.
- Add chopped onions and sauté for a min or till translucent. Add crushed ginger garlic and sauté for a min.
- Now add turmeric powder red chilli powder and stir.
- Add mango pieces and mix well. Add little water and cook on a medium flame and cover with the lid.
- Cook until kairi becomes tender and soft. At this point add Jaggy and mix well and cook for a min until jaggery gets dissolved.
- Switch off the gas flame. Gud Amba is ready to serve. This goes well with poori chapati and rice.
