The ingredients needed to prepare CHITAU PITHA with Mini Chitau balls:
- You need 1/2 Kg rice (taken Tuta Basmati)
- Prepare 1 Coconut (grated)
- Get 1 Tablespoon Sugar
- Prepare as required Ghee
- Prepare as per taste Salt
- Take As needed Muslin or Simple lite weight Wet Cloth
- Use Garnishing:
- Take as required Milk and Grated Coconut
- Take as per taste Sugar for additional taste for serving as required
Steps to make CHITAU PITHA with Mini Chitau balls:
- Soak rice in water for 5 hr's.Then drain all water and grind it with grated coconut
- Now add salt and little Sugar to the paste and Whip it properly for 3 mins. Then keep it aside for 3 hr's to ferment.
- Now turn on the gas place a Kadhai pour there 1/2 teaspoon of oil, when it gets heated then take 2 ladle full of batter and make it round shape. Cover the lid just to the top of the Pitha, and to it's top place a cotton wet cloth in a round shape over the lid for 2 to 3 mins. Check in the fig given below. Cook it on slow to medium flame. Small….small hole will appear like this as shown in the fig.
- Don't flip the Pitha just bring it out. Like wise repeat the same process in making other Pitha.
- Like wise you can prepare Mini Chitau Balls with the same batter and make Chitau balls in a Appe maker by applying little oil and pour the batter and just cover the lid and cook for 5 mins in slow and medium flame. Don't need to flip it and serve with Hot milk. Garnish it with grated Coconut
