The ingredients needed to prepare Suji(Semolina)-Poha Veggie Appam:
- Take 1 cup idli Rava (suji)(Semolina)
- Get 1/2 cup Poha (flattened rice) (wash and soak it)
- Prepare 1 inch Ginger piece
- Prepare 3 green chillies
- Prepare 2 Onions chopped
- Get 1 Capsicum chopped
- Prepare 1 carrot grated
- Use 1/4 cup grated cheese
- Get 1 tbsp sour curd
- You need Salt as per taste
- You need 1/4 tsp (less-than) baking soda
- Use Water as required
- Take Oil
Instructions to make Suji(Semolina)-Poha Veggie Appam:
- Grind the Semolina into more small (not powdered) take out in a bowl.
- In the same grinding jar add soaked Poha. Add ginger, green chillies, 1 tbsp water. Grind it.
- Add more 1 tbsp water grind it. Now add 1 tbsp sour curd. Grind it well in smooth batter.
- Pour this batter in Semolina. Add 1/2 cup water in the jar and add that water in the batter. Mix it well. Keep a side so Semolina can absorb water and get puffed.
- Now add capsicum, onions, carrot. Mix it well cover it. Keep for 10 min. So the Veggies released their water and we get proper consistency batter.
- Now add salt, baking soda mix it well.
- Add cheese mix it the batter. Heat up the appam maker on low flame. Grease it with oil. Pour 1 spoon batter in the appam mould. Close the lid and get it cooked for 2 min.
- After 2 min will see one side is done. Apply some oil and flip them to another side. Close the lid for 2 more min. Appam is done. Serve with dip and juice.
