  1. Get 1 cup Sweet potato Peeled and finely chopped or Grated
  2. You need 1/2 ltr Milk
  3. Prepare 3 tbsp Sugar or jaggery or milkmad
  4. Use 2 tsp ghee
  5. Take As needed Chopped cashews, pista and almonds for garnishing
  6. You need 1/4 tsp cardamom powder (elaichi)
  7. Use 2-3 Saffron strands
Steps to make Sweet Potato Kheer:
  1. Wash, peel and grate sweet potatoes. - Heat ghee in a pan, Roast the cashews and almonds in ghee. Fry till little brown and remove them in bowl and set aside.
  2. To same ghee add grated sweet potato and saute for 2-3 minutes. - Then add milk and let it boil on low flame for about 10 minutes until the milk thickens. Stirring constantly.
  3. Add sugar and cook for 3-4 minutes on low flame. - Add cardamom powder and mix well.
  4. Garnish with roasted nuts. - Serve hot or cold.
  5. Adjust the quantity of sugar as needed.
  6. You can also use milkmad or jaggery. - You can keep in refrigerator and serve chilled.
