The ingredients needed to cook Rui Madhuri:
  1. Get 4 pieces rohu fish
  2. You need 1 tablespoon ghee
  3. Prepare 10 gm cashew nut paste
  4. Provide 2 teaspoon poppy seed paste
  5. Get 2 cloves
  6. Prepare 2 green cardamon
  7. Use 1 inch cinnamon stick
  8. Use 1 tablespoon raisins
  9. Use 1 medium size onion
  10. Prepare 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  11. Prepare 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  12. Provide 100 gm yogurt
  13. Take 1 teaspoon green chilly paste
  14. Prepare 5-6 whole green chillies
  15. Prepare 1 tablespoon honey
  16. Get to taste salt
  17. Provide as per requirement vegetable oil
  18. Prepare 1 bayleaf
  19. Take 1 cup water
  20. Prepare 1 teaspoon coriander leaves chopped
Instructions to make Rui Madhuri:
  1. Marinate the rohu fishes with salt and shallow fry them in vegetable oil. Keep them aside.
  2. Boil the onion and make a smooth paste of it.
  3. Again heat some vegetable oil in a wok and add the bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom. Saute them till the smell oozes out. Add the onion paste, ginger paste, green chilly paste, garlic paste and then fry them till the raw smell disappears but make sure it won't get brown. Add some salt.
  4. Add the poppy seed paste, cashew nut paste and saute it well. The flame should be lowered at this point.
  5. Add the honey, mix them well.
  6. Add the green chillies. Save some of them for garnishing.
  7. Add the water. Bring it to boil and some salt
  8. Add the pieces of rohu fish.
  9. Cover the wok with a lid.
  10. When the gravy comes to the desired consistency, add the ghee and raisins. Mix them well.
  11. Remove it from the flame.
  12. Garnish it with some green chillies and coriander leaves.
  13. Your Rui Madhuri is ready to be served.
