  1. You need 8 pieces rohu fish
  2. Provide 1 tsp kalonji paste
  3. You need 1 capsicum paste
  4. You need 1/2 cup coriander chopped
  5. Use 1 tsp garlic paste
  6. Use 3-4 green chillies
  7. Use 1 tsp roasted fennel seed powder
  8. Take 1 tomato
  9. You need 1 tbsp curd
  10. You need 1/2 tsp turmeric
  11. Take 1/4th tsp red chilli powder
  12. Provide 3 tbsp mustard oil
  13. Use To taste salt
Instructions to make Kalindi Rui:
  1. Smear turmeric and salt to fish and marinate for 10 minutes.Heat mustard oil and fry fish both sides golden brown. Meanwhile dry roast fennel seed and crush.Set aside.Chop capsicum,tomato,2 green chillies and 2 tbsp coriander leaves and grind to a paste alongwith curd and black seed (kalonji).Sprinkle 1/4 th tsp kalonji to rest of oil and add the masala paste.Add garlic, turmeric,red chilli powder and salt to taste.
  2. Lightly fry the masala and arrange the fried fish over it.Add little water and boil 2 to 3 minutes.Toss carefully so that masala coats fish.Add 2 chopped green chillies. Sprinkle fennel seed powder and 1.5 tsp mustard oil and toss.Garnish with chopped coriander, slit red chilli and serve with plain steamed rice.
