  2. Provide 1 cup Split Blackgram/Urad dal
  3. Use 2 tsp Finely Chopped Green Chilli

  14. Provide 1 tbsp Green Chilli (Julienne)
  15. You need 1/2 tsp Mustard
  16. You need 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
  17. Get 1/4 tsp Asafoetida/Hing Powder
  18. Provide 1.5 tsp Salt
  19. You need 1 tbsp Oil
  20. Prepare 3 tbsp Coriander leaves
Steps to make Bonda Soup:
  1. How to cook the Soup?
  2. Pressure cook the toor dal with 2 cups water, turmeric powder, ghee and tomatoes for 3 to 4 whistles.
  3. Heat oil. Pop up mustard. Add in the hing powder, ginger and green chilli. Saute for a while.
  4. Add the above seasoning to the cooked toor dal.
  5. Now add 3 cups of water and salt. Cook till it comes to a boil.
  6. How to cook the Bondas?
  7. Soak urad dal in 3 cups water for 3 to 4 hours.
  8. Drain the water completely. Grind into a fine paste. Add a few tbsp of water. Don't add too much of water.
  9. Add ginger, chilli, black pepper and salt to the batter.
  10. Drop 2 tbsp of batter at a time into oil. Deep fry till they are golden brown.
  11. How to assemble the Bonda Soup?
  12. In a soup bowl, place 3 or 4 bondas. Pour the hot soup over. Top with coriander leaves.
