The ingredients needed to prepare Susla / Pori Upma:
- Prepare 4 cups Puffed rice
- Prepare 2 tb spn oil
- Provide Mustard seeds
- Prepare Cumin seeds
- Take Asafoetida
- Take 1/4 cup peanuts
- Prepare 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- Take 2 green chillies cut in to long pieces
- Get 5-6 Curreyleaves
- Use 1/4 cup finely chopped tomatoes
- Take 1/2 t spn turmeric powder
- Take Cumin - coriander powder 1-1t spn
- Take Kala masala / garam masala 1/2 t spn
- Provide Salt, sugar as per taste
- Get 1/4 cup crushed roasted gram dal
- Prepare 1 t b spn green coriander leaves
Steps to make Susla / Pori Upma:
- Wash puffed rice and Keep it in strainer. Drain the excess water through the strainer.
- Heat oil in kadhai and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and Asafoetida in it. Add peanuts in it and saute it till it turns golden brown. Then add chopped onion in it and saute it. Add green chillies, Curreyleaves and chopped tomatoes in it and saute all together.
- Add turmeric powder,cumin - coriander powder, salt, sugar and garam masala in it.
- Add puffed rice, and roasted gram dal powder in it, mix it well.
- Cover with lid and cook it for 3-4 minutes.
- Add lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves and serve it hot.
